Dr.Yves-Marie Paulet is professor in Marine Biology at the Brest University (UBO), researcher at the LEMAR Lab (UBO-CNRS-IRD-Ifremer). He was the former director (2009-2014) of the European Institute for Marine Studies (IUEM-Brest), and since 2016 he acts as deputy chairman in charge of maritime affairs at UBO. French delegate to the European Marine Board, and vice-chair for one term, from 2011 to 2020. He has been the leader of the LabexMER project, a changing ocean.
