Dorota Pyć (PhD) is Associate Professor of Law and Head of the Maritime Law Department at the University of Gdańsk (Poland), where she specialises in the law of the sea, maritime law and marine environmental law. She chairs the Maritime Law Commission of the Polish Academy of Science. From 2013 to 2015, she served as the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Transport Construction and Maritime Economy and then at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development of the Republic of Poland. She was Project Manager of SEAPLANSPACE—Marine spatial planning instruments for sustainable marine governance, which is funded through Interreg South Baltic 2014–2020.
