reSEArch-EU - European University of the Seas

The events held in frame of the International Open Access Week  at the University of Gdansk this time took the form of a game – Escape Room. The content of the puzzles was adapted to topics related to the Open Science movement and the principles of open publishing. The participants did not have to get out of the room – as it is usually practised in a standard Escape Room, but this time their search led to finding the password that allowed them to publish a scientific article.

The first attempt involved central administration staff, who where the first to test the puzzles and successfully publish an article. The second group of participants were the Open Science Ambassadors who took part in the reSEARch EU project, and finally, two groups of students from the Faculty of Languages took up the challenge. The entire event was prepared and hosted by the staff of the UG Science Office.
