reSEArch-EU - European University of the Seas

On 10th January a second opportunity to attend to the lesson of the Spin-off Competence Lab about Speculative Design was led by Prof. Ivica Mitrović from University of Split. 

Ivica gave us an interactive presentation full of videos, news and examples about the state of Speculative Design and the possible future paths for the practice.

To spread out Prof. Mitrović was the coordinator of the SpeculativeEdu, an educational project funded by the ERASMUS+ EU program, to strengthen Speculative Design education by collecting and exchanging existing knowledge and experience whilst developing new methods in the field of speculative design. 

He is the Head of the Visual Communications Design Department at the Arts Academy, University of Split. You can outreach about this topic in their official communication channels. 

As a summary of the session the conclusion is: Speculative design is about learning to question, examine and critique – and this is a duty, not a privilege.
